<p>Job Description<br/><br/>Required Professional and Leadership Skills<br/><br/>- Responsible for proactively monitoring and handling problems related to Routers and switches in Datacenters.<br/><br/>- Ensure that service delivery takes place based on the Service level agreements.<br/><br/>- Ensure that problems and changes are properly documented, support groups notified, and issues resolved to prevent impact to Customer.<br/><br/>- Monitor the network traffic and Troubleshoot the networks in case of problems.<br/><br/>- Responsible for monitoring and configuring changes in the network to ensure the best possible application performance for the end-users.<br/><br/>- Monitor & resolve issues of WAN links and their connectivity.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot circuits with local exchange and long-distance carriers.<br/><br/>- Escalate calls to vendor/principal whenever required.<br/><br/>- Troubleshooting and monitoring the LAN connectivity of the entire Deloitte network.<br/><br/>- Troubleshooting basic network issues on-site and escalating problems to the higher level of support, when required.<br/><br/>- Responsible for maintaining technical and operational documentation and training materials for installation and configuration activities.<br/><br/>- Manage and troubleshoot the complex BGP and OSPF networks.<br/><br/>- Monitoring and troubleshooting of Core OSPF configuration over multiple network types.<br/><br/>- Manage VLANs, Trunks, Ether channels, and implement VTP, STP on the catalyst, and Nexus switches.<br/><br/>- Configuring Catalyst port security and Spanning tree security on 2900, 6500 series Cisco switches.<br/><br/>- Good understanding of wireless management systems such as Cisco CPI, and Wireshark.<br/><br/>- Responsible for managing Deloitte Member Firms network issues like Packet Loss, BGP down, and Latency issues.<br/><br/>- Highly Motivated, self-starter who has a very strong desire to learn.<br/><br/>- An up-to-date knowledge and understanding of your employer's business and industry needs, as well as the technical demands<br/><br/>- Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with staff who are not technically trained.<br/><br/>- Teamwork skills and the ability to feel comfortable working with different teams, clients and groups of staff across an organisation.<br/><br/>- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.<br/><br/>- Ready to work in rotational shifts in 24x7 operations.<br/><br/>- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)<br/><br/>- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations<br/><br/>- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability<br/><br/>- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning<br/><br/>- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues<br/><br/>- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure<br/><br/>- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security team<br/><br/>- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution<br/><br/>Education and Relevant Experience<br/><br/>- Bachelors Degree and Minimum of 3+ years of directly related experience including working knowledge in Technology Operations, and Incident/Major Incident or Problem Management.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
