<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/></p><p>The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.<br/><br/>This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions including dashboards, reports, and data models that enable stakeholders to understand performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for improvement.<br/><br/>The BI Developer collaborates closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT project teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and relevance, driving a data-informed culture throughout the enterprise.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities :<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, and data models using BI tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, Power Query M, DAX).<br/><br/>- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions.</p><p><br/>- Build and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics needs.<br/><br/>- Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources.<br/><br/>- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs, deliver actionable insights, triage issues, and ensure data governance and performance.<br/><br/>- Support the migration of enterprise reporting from on-prem SQL Server to Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Lake environments.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with data engineers to reverse-engineer legacy ETL/reporting pipelines and modernize them for cloud-based delivery.<br/><br/>- Define data integration strategies, including real-time data integration, batch processing, and data replication to meet business needs.<br/><br/>- Assist with the creation and maintenance of Fabric Dataflows, Pipelines, and semantic models.<br/><br/>- Analyze structured schema modules and build scalable, reusable reporting solutions aligned to business needs.<br/><br/>- Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems to ensure performance and reliability.<br/><br/>- Maintain documentation for BI solutions, data models, and reporting processes.<br/><br/>- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.<br/><br/>- Support data governance and compliance initiatives by implementing best practices in data management.<br/><br/>- Architect field and object level security in reports.<br/><br/>- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting capabilities.<br/><br/>- Stay current with BI technologies and trends to continuously improve solutions and processes.<br/><br/>- While the job description describes what is anticipated as the requirements of the position, the job requirements are subject to change based upon any changing needs and requirements of the business.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including: Power Query M, DAX, Power Automate.<br/><br/>- Strong SQL skills and experience in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and ETL workflows (e.g., SSIS, ADF, Dataflows Gen2).<br/><br/>- Expertise in data modeling, report design, performance optimization, and self-service enablement.<br/><br/>- Experience with data warehouse and data lake environments.<br/><br/>- Familiarity or working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (including Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake concepts).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Snowflake technologies.<br/><br/>- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.<br/><br/>- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.<br/><br/>- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data quality, consistency, and reliability.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.<br/><br/>- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and Agile or Scrum methodologies.<br/><br/><b>Required Experience :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.<br/><br/>- 5+ years of experience in BI/reporting roles with a strong back-end focus.<br/><br/>- Tungsten Automation Corporation, Inc.
