<p><b>JOB PURPOSE : </b><br/><br/>We are seeking a visionary and hands-on UI/UX Lead or Manager to own the design and user experience strategy for our Drone Ground Control Station (GCS) and Fleet Management platform.<br/><br/>This role combines Product thinking, human-centered design, and system-level UX to create interfaces that are not just functional - but intuitive, safe, and delightful to use.<br/><br/><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : </b><br/><br/>- Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design lifecycle for Web, Desktop, and tablet-based GCS and Fleet software <br/><br/>- Design operator dashboards, mission planning workflows, live telemetry views, and map interfaces <br/><br/>- Create Wireframes, User flows, Prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools like Figma or Adobe XD <br/><br/>- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Drone pilots, and developers to define intuitive interactions <br/><br/>- Conduct contextual research with users (e.g. field teams, drone operators, mission planners) 6 Optimize information hierarchy for real-time monitoring, alerts, mission logs, and fleet health <br/><br/>- Ensure a cohesive design language across modules including video feed, map overlays, telemetry, battery management, and mission planner <br/><br/>- Lead and mentor a small design team (2-3 designers), and contribute individually when needed <br/><br/>- Work with the frontend team to implement and QA UI components using design systems <br/><br/>- Champion usability, accessibility, and safety-critical UX patterns relevant to Autonomous systems <br/><br/><b>Skills Required : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Portfolio showcasing dashboards, map-based UI, or control interfaces <br/><br/>- Experience designing systems with real-time data, geospatial interfaces, or mission planning 3 Strong command of design tools : Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Framer, etc.
<br/><br/>- Ability to create interactive prototypes and design specs for dev handoff <br/><br/>- Strong UX research, information architecture, and wireframing skills <br/><br/><b>Competitive Advantage : <br/></b><br/>- Familiarity with drone systems, avionics, robotics, or SCADA-like dashboards <br/><br/>- Understanding of map SDKs like Mapbox, Leaflet, Cesium, or OpenLayers <br/><br/>- Knowledge of safety-critical UX design patterns or situational awareness principles <br/><br/>- Experience in designing GCS or telemetry-heavy interfaces for aerospace or defense <br/><br/>- Familiarity with WebGL, Three.js, or 3D visualizations in UX <br/><br/><b>Leadership & Collaboration : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Guide product design vision for the GCS and drone command platforms <br/><br/>- Collaborate with stakeholders from software, flight ops, QA, and hardware integration <br/><br/>- Drive design reviews, usability tests, and feedback loops <br/><br/>- Advocate for users while balancing engineering and regulatory constraints<br/><br/><b>Personal Attributes : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Systems thinker with meticulous attention to detail <br/><br/>- Passionate about drones, autonomy, and human-robot interaction <br/><br/>- Empathy-driven leader who mentors and empowers other designers <br/><br/>- Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative, and high-impact environments <br/><br/>- Contributions to open-source UX libraries or drone tools <br/><br/>- Experience with Flutter, React, or Qt for cross-platform deployment <br/><br/>- Experience working in agile product teams or with ISO 26262 / DO-178-style processes <br/><br/><b>QUALIFICATIONS MIN.
