Job Summary
The ETL Developer is responsible for managing data workflows using UNIX shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, and scheduling jobs via Control-M.
This role ensures the smooth extraction, transformation, and loading of data across various systems and supports operational stability in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL scripts using UNIX shell scripting and PL/SQL
- Schedule and monitor batch jobs using Control-M
- Analyze and troubleshoot data load issues and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with database administrators, business analysts, and QA teams
- Document workflows, job dependencies, and data processes
- Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure adherence to data quality and governance standards
- Optimize SQL queries for performance improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in UNIX shell scripting and PL/SQL development
- Hands-on experience with Control-M job scheduling tool
- Solid understanding of database concepts and performance tuning
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
