Backed by leading global investors, our founding and management team comes with a stellar track record of successfully scaling projects and products to millions of smallholder land stewards at leading agri- and tech businesses.<br/><br/>Position :- Manager - Carbon Projects<br/><br/>About the role :- Varaha ClimateAg is seeking a highly motivated Carbon Projects Manager to manage carbon emissions reduction and removal projects focused on ARR/agroforestry.

The position requires experience and interest in designing and managing carbon projects including the drafting of Project Design Documents (PDDs), technical project design, and guiding projects through the validation and verification process.

The position requires excellent analytical skills, strong writing skills, practical business thinking, and an understanding of social science methods.

Prior experience development of carbon projects for Nature-based solutions is mandatory.<br/><br/>Responsibilities :-<br/><br/>- Lead the implementation of ARR/agroforestry carbon projects end-to-end<br/><br/>- Identify viable project opportunities and manage internal resources to finalise and execute projects.<br/><br/>- Prepare project idea notes (PINs), work on the assessment, design, and development of specific project design elements, such as e.g. permanence, additionality, or environmental impact assessment.<br/><br/>- Manage all ongoing projects documentation including monitoring plans, Project Design Documents (PDDs), and monitoring reports.<br/><br/>- Development and implementation of the processes needed for successful project development, such as public consultation process, data collection, and sampling in collaboration with the Science and Tech team.<br/><br/>- Manage due diligence, auditor queries, registry communication where needed along with contractual negotiations, and validation, verification.<br/><br/>- Understanding the methodologies available on the registries and developing projects based on that.<br/><br/>Qualifications :-<br/><br/>- 3+ years experience managing nature-based carbon projects, including implementation and certification.<br/><br/>- Experience designing and managing carbon offset projects, including the drafting of PDDs, for the voluntary carbon market.<br/><br/>- Knowledgeable in global standards/protocols/markets for Voluntary markets.
