<p><p><b>Role : IT Support Consultant</b><br/><br/>Location : Chennai Office (for projects across India).<br/><br/>Kindly Note : This is for a short-term contractual role of up to 6 months to 1 year only.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/><b>Hardware and Software Troubleshooting : </b><br/><br/>- Respond to and resolve technical issues users report through various channels (phone, email, chat).<br/><br/>- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.<br/><br/>- Install, configure, and update OS software and applications.<br/><br/>- Provide remote assistance to users for technical issues and utilize remote desktop tools to troubleshoot and resolve problems.<br/><br/>- Manage and troubleshoot network devices, ensuring smooth connectivity.<br/><br/>- Administer firewall settings to enhance network security.<br/><br/><b>Documentation and Reporting : </b><br/><br/>- Maintain detailed records of hardware and software interventions using Google Docs and Sheets.<br/><br/>- Generate reports on recurring issues, resolutions, and preventive measures.<br/><br/><b>End-User Support : </b><br/><br/>- Offer timely and effective support to end-users, addressing their IT-related concerns with login issues, password resets, and account management.<br/><br/>- Educate users on primary computer usage and best practices on IT policies and procedures.<br/><br/><b>Vendor Coordination : </b><br/><br/>- Liaise with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.<br/><br/>- Manage relationships with external service providers for network and software-related services.<br/><br/><b>API Utilization : </b><br/><br/>- Leverage knowledge of using platform APIs to integrate and streamline IT processes.<br/><br/>- Develop and implement solutions that enhance efficiency through API interactions.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills and Qualifications : </b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years experience.<br/><br/>- Proven experience in IT asset management, software and hardware support, and vendor coordination.<br/><br/>- Excellent organizational and project management skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors.<br/><br/>Note : Tamil language is a must-have requirement for this role<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
