<p><p><b>Job Role :</b> VBA Developer<br/><br/><b>Job Location</b> : Kochi<br/><br/><b>Notice Period :</b> Immediate to 30 days<br/><br/><b>Primary Skill : </b>VBA, VBA Macros, SQL<br/><br/><b>Role Summary :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled Developer with expertise in VBA, SQL, and automation solutions to support the design, development, and maintenance of robust data-driven applications and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL Server, VBA macros, and data processing automation, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues while working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Core Development :</b><br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Create, optimize, and manage MS Access databases and SQL Server stored procedures.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Develop complex SQL queries and scripts for data transformation and reporting.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Code, debug, test, document, and communicate component development stages effectively.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Contribute to the creation of technical designs (HLD, LLD, SAD) and architecture of & Quality :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Create and review unit test cases and execution scenarios.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with the testing team; review test plans and clarify requirements.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on defects and implement corrective actions.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure code quality, minimal post-delivery defects, and adherence to coding & Communication :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Present design options, conduct product demos, and engage in technical discussions.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Drive and manage team deliverables and set performance goals (FAST & Configuration :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain documentation including design, test cases, and user manuals.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Define configuration management plans and ensure team & Knowledge Management :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Estimate effort and resources for project tasks.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Participate in release execution and monitoring.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and reusable documentation.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Experience :</b><br/><br/>- Proven experience with VBA development and automation scripting.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong command of SQL Server, T-SQL, and Access database design.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with data ingestion, cleaning, and report generation.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management Qualifications :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with Python or other automation tools.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with ETL tools, data pipelines, or integration processes.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Domain knowledge in banking, finance, or related industries.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Certifications in relevant domains or technologies (e.g., Microsoft SQL, VBA).<br/><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Code quality and adherence to engineering standards.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Timely completion of assigned tasks and project milestones.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Number of issues or defects Effectiveness in team collaboration and customer engagement.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Compliance with mandatory training and documentation standards.<br/><br/><b>Soft Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong interpersonal and team management skills.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- High business etiquette and Ability to break down complex technical problems logically.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership.<br/><br/><b>Technologies & Tools :</b><br/><br/><b>Languages :</b> VBA, T-SQL, Python (optional)<br/><br/><b>Databases :</b> SQL Server, MS Access<br/><br/><b>Tools :</b> Microsoft Excel, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), ETL Tools<br/><br/><b>Methodologies : </b>Agile (Scrum/Kanban), SDLC, RAD<br/><br/><b>Others : </b>IDEs, Data Modeling, Configuration Management</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
