Role Purpose
Build and run a predictable, on-time, on-budget, on-spec delivery engine across multi-site programs.
Institutionalize governance from scope to handover;
strengthen commercial discipline and collections;
elevate quality, safety, and compliance.
Apply best practices from infrastructure/construction to Technavious projects, including data centers and allied industrial/campus builds.
Key Deliverables (What Success Looks Like)
- Delivery Governance & PMO: Stage-gate framework from SOW to handover/DLP;
portfolio control towerwith WBS, baselines, risk/issue registers, dashboards;
proactive recovery planning. - Planning, Budgeting & Scheduling: Integrated master schedules (resource- and cost-loaded) across CSA/MEP/ELV/OEM;
long-lead and interfaceplans;
delay analysis and acceleration strategies. - Commercials, Contracts & Collections: Contract administration (FIDIC/NEC), change control, claims/EOT;
accurate progress measurement, billing certification, invoicing and collections;
subcontractor frameworks and scorecards. - Quality (QA/QC): QMS with ITPs/ITRs, submittal control, FAT/supplier audits, site QA audits, CAPA;
constructability reviews, mock-ups and first-time-right practices to minimize rework. - EHS: HSE management system (ISO 45001/14001), JSA/JHA, PTW, LOTO, lifting plans, incident investigation, audits;
subcontractor HSE compliance and leading-indicator improvement. - Statutory & Code Compliance: Timely approvals/NOCs (fire, CEIG/electrical inspectorate, environmental, factory inspector, local bodies);
NBC/IS/IEC/IE rules adherence;
for DC programs, TIA-942/Uptime/ASHRAE readiness and client certifications (ISO/SOC/GDPR as applicable). - Design Coordination & Constructability: BIM/CDE governance (Revit/Navisworks), clash detection, RFIs/RFCs, value engineering;
interface control with OEMs/EPC/GCs. - Commissioning, Handover & DLP: Standard FAT/SAT/IST scripts and evidence packs;
complete handover documentation (as-builts, O&M, spares/tools, training, warranties) and structured DLP closure. - Business Metric: One of the key performance metrics will be Account farming and creating upsell opportunities.
- People & Organization: Build and mentor Project Directors/PMs/Planners/QA-QC/EHS/Commissioning;
KRAs, utilization/benchplans, succession and recognition tied to predictability, safety and client satisfaction. - Digital, Analytics & ERPNext: Operationalize ERPNext for milestones, approvals, WIP/EAC, VoC, NCRs, HSE, punch-lists;
standardize document control (CDE) and actionable delivery dashboards;
drive lessons-learned cycles.
Candidate Profile
- Background: Senior leader from infrastructure/construction/EPC delivering complex multi-site programs (industrial plants, logistics/warehousing, metros/rail, airports, hospitals, IT parks/campuses, utilities).
Data-center exposure is welcome but learnable. - Core Skills: Program controls (P6/MSP, EVM, cost control, WIP/EAC), contracts/claims (FIDIC/NEC, change orders, EOT, LD mitigation), QA/QC and EHS systems, statutory approvals/NOCs, close-out/DLP, stakeholder management with client PMOs and OEM/EPC partners.
- Tools: ERP (ERPNext/SAP/D365), BIM (Revit/Navisworks), CDE, Power BI.
- Education/Certifications: B.E./B.Tech (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical).
PMP/PRINCE2 preferred;
LEED/IGBC and commissioning/safety certifications are a plus. - Leadership: Decisive, financially literate, escalation-savvy, crisp communicator, team builder and coach.
First 90 Days (Outcome-Oriented)
- Assess & Stabilize: Portfolio health review;
freeze baseline WBS/cost codes;
activate Delivery Control Tower;
resolve priority risks;
launch ERPNext delivery dashboards (v1). - Standardize & Control: Publish Delivery Playbook (stage-gates, PMO templates, ITPs, HSE starter kit, change-control);
clean up variation/claims backlog;
deploy vendor scorecards. - Accelerate & Institutionalize: Drive margin and schedule recovery on at-risk projects;
enforce close-out discipline;
stand up Centers of Excellence (Planning/P6, QA-QC, EHS, Commissioning);
finalize talent and succession plans.
Interfaces, Authority & Work Model
Internal: CEO, Sales/Alliances, Finance/CFO, SCM, Legal, HR, CTO/Design, PMO, Regional Heads.
External: Clients, EPC/GCs, consultants, OEMs, certifying bodies, regulators.
Authority: Approve delivery budgets, resource plans, change orders/claims (per DOA), subcontractor awards, site governance decisions.
Work model: Hybrid with frequent site travel;
must lead in-person warrooms at critical milestones.
