Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an experienced PDF Accessibility Analyst at Aathirai Technologies.
The role is located in Madurai South, with some work from home acceptable.
The PDF Accessibility Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that digital content is accessible and meets regulatory compliance.
Day-to-day tasks include converting documents to accessible formats, conducting accessibility audits, maintaining project documentation, and collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications
Experience in PDF conversion and accessibility
Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, Section 508, and ADA
Familiarity with accessibility tools like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver is a plus
Attention to Detail and Strong Analytical Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment
Experience in the publishing or educational content industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Role Description
The XML/ePub Analyst is responsible for the creation, conversion, validation, and quality assurance of digital content formats such as XML and ePub.
They ensure that content meets industry standards, is accessible across multiple devices and platforms, and aligns with organizational or client specifications.
The role requires a strong understanding of markup languages, digital publishing standards, and content structure, as well as familiarity with automation tools and content management systems.
Qualifications
Convert print or digital content into structured XML and ePub formats for digital publishing.
Ensure content is compliant with industry standards such as EPUB 3.0, DAISY, HTML5, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG, Section 508).
Validate XML/ePub files using tools like EPUBCheck , XML Schema , DTDs , and Schematron .
Collaborate with content developers, designers, and QA teams to maintain quality and consistency.
Debug and fix formatting, layout, and structural issues in XML or ePub files.
Develop or maintain XSLT scripts for transforming content between formats (e.g., XML to HTML/ePub).
Handle metadata tagging (ONIX, Dublin Core) for ebooks and digital content.
Test digital products across multiple devices (eReaders, tablets, mobile, desktop) and platforms (Kindle, Apple Books, etc.).
Maintain documentation for workflows, standards, and best practices.
Stay updated with new developments in digital publishing standards and tools.
Experience in the publishing or educational content industry is a plus

This role is ideal for candidates who have a keen eye for detail, interest in digital content, and a willingness to learn about the publishing industry.
Skills & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science preferred).
Basic understanding of computers and the internet.
Willingness to learn XML, HTML, ePub, and digital publishing tools.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
Freshers with certification or coursework in XML/HTML/ePublishing will have an advantage.
