<br/><br/><b>Duties and Responsibilities : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Tarutium Global Consulting, through its Centre for Digital Transformation, is dedicated to driving innovation and sustainable growth across our IT and GIS service offerings.

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and results-driven professional to join our strategic consulting team as a WebGIS Developer Analyst.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to the development and deployment of cutting-edge WebGIS solutions.

Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital transformation strategies for our clients.<br/><br/><b>Key Roles and Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Design and develop a WebGIS platform for spatial data hosting, visualization, and sharing<br/><br/>- Provide technical support for WebGIS platforms and related IT systems<br/><br/>- Implement and configure GeoServer / MapServer for OGC-compliant data services (WMS, WFS, WCS, CSW).

</p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of GIS infrastructure<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain backend services using Python/Django (or equivalent frameworks).<br/><br/>- Manage and optimize spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS).<br/><br/>- Develop interactive web maps and dashboards using Leaflet / OpenLayers / MapLibre / Mapbox.<br/><br/>- Integrate metadata catalogue and data discovery tools (e.g., GeoNetwork, CKAN).<br/><br/>- Deploy and maintain the system on Linux servers / Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).<br/><br/>- Ensure system security, scalability, and multi-user access control.<br/><br/>- training and documentation to users and administrators.<br/><br/>- API Integration<br/><br/>- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions<br/><br/>- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices<br/><br/><b>Qualification & Experience</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geoinformatics, or any other discipline relevant to this role from reputed institutes<br/><br/>- At least 5 years experience in designing, developing, and deploying a WebGIS platform<br/><br/>- High personal & professional integrity.

</p><p><br/></p><p>- Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills (Essential) : </b><br/><br/>- Strong programming experience in Python (Django/Flask).<br/><br/>- Experience with GeoServer, MapServer, and OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WCS, CSW).<br/><br/>- Proficiency in PostgreSQL with PostGIS.<br/><br/>- Web development skills : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Leaflet, OpenLayers, MapLibre, and Mapbox for web mapping.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of GIS tools and libraries (GDAL/OGR, Fiona, Shapely, PyProj).<br/><br/>- Deployment and system administration on Linux environments.<br/><br/>- Experience with Docker/Docker Compose and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab).<br/><br/>- API Integration<br/><br/><b>Other Technical Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with GeoDjango.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Celery/Redis for geoprocessing.<br/><br/>- Metadata catalogue tools (GeoNetwork/CKAN).<br/><br/>- Cloud deployment and scaling (AWS/Azure/GCP).<br/><br/>- Security and role-based access management.<br/><br/>- AI Integration<br/><br/><b>Remuneration : </b>Attractive as per industry standards<br/><br/><b>Location : </b>Ahmedabad (Gujarat)<br/><br/><b>Joining Date : </b>Immediate.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
