<p><p><b>Position :</b> Windows Engineer<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b> 3-6 Years<br/><br/><b>Job Summary :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a proactive Windows Engineer with 3 to 6 years of professional experience in the administration, configuration, and support of Windows Server platforms.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, and a strong background in L2 or L3 server support.
</p><p><br/></p><p>This role requires proficiency in automation scripting and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure management across diverse geographies.
The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment governed by the ITIL framework, handling a wide range of responsibilities from patching and upgrades to incident management.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Server Administration & Support :</b><br/><br/>- Administer, configure, and provide L2 or L3 support for Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.<br/><br/>- Perform critical activities such as patching, upgrades, migration, and server refresh to maintain infrastructure health.<br/><br/>- Manage infrastructure hosted across diverse geographies and handle production support activities.<br/><br/><b>Automation & Infrastructure Management :</b><br/><br/>- Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible, PowerCLI, or PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks.<br/><br/>- Work with hardware and software from vendors such as VMware, Cisco, Dell, and HP.<br/><br/>- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere 7.x environments, including clusters and farms.<br/><br/><b>Process & Project Management :</b><br/><br/>- Work within an Agile environment, participating in Scrum, sprints, and related ceremonies.<br/><br/>- Adhere to the ITIL framework, with responsibilities including Change, Incident, and Problem Management (RCA).<br/><br/>- Take on team and project management responsibilities as needed.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/><b>Core Experience :</b><br/><br/>- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in IT administration and support.<br/><br/>- At least 4 years of experience in an L2 or L3 Server Support Team.<br/><br/><b>Mandatory Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in automation scripting using Ansible, PowerCLI, or PowerShell.<br/><br/>- Strong exposure to and proficiency in managing VMware vSphere 7.x environments.<br/><br/><b>Professional Attributes :</b><br/><br/>- Experience working with vendors like VMware, Cisco, Dell, and HP.<br/><br/>- A background in production support is highly preferred.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and Agile methodologies.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Experience and skill in managing AWS Cloud Environments and Hybrid Environments.<br/><br/>- Training on the AWS SysOps Track is an advantage.<br/><br/>- A strong foundation in team and project management.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
