<p><p><b>Job Title : </b> Application Lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Technical).<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Pune (Onsite).<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 5+ years (strong, hands-on D365 Business Central Technical).<br/><br/><b>Role Summary :</b><br/><br/>As an Application Lead, you will own the end-to-end design, build, and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) solutions and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.<br/><br/>You will guide a high-performing team, align delivery with business objectives, oversee timelines and quality, and drive continuous improvement across development, integration, and release processes.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Act as the SME for D365 BC technical topics (AL development, extensions, events/subscribers, upgrades, and performance).<br/><br/>- Lead and mentor a team of developers; set priorities, review code, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.<br/><br/>- Own solution design and technical architecture for BC customizations, integrations, and data flows.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with Product Owners, Functional Consultants, QA, and Infra to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.<br/><br/>- Drive system integrations (APIs, web services, connectors) and data migration (configuration packages, ETL) with robust error handling and logging.<br/><br/>- Establish and enforce DevOps practices (branching, build/release pipelines, automated deployments) and CI/CD for BC.<br/><br/>- Conduct technical design reviews, estimations, and risk assessments; make informed decisions and trade-offs.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot complex production issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.<br/><br/>- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and create technical documentation (design specs, runbooks, SOPs).<br/><br/>- Monitor project progress, manage dependencies, and implement corrective actions to meet scope, schedule, and quality targets.<br/><br/>- Uphold security, compliance, and performance benchmarks across environments.<br/><br/><b>Must-Have Skills :</b><br/><br/>- D365 Business Central Technical (5+ years) : AL programming, extensions (v2), event-driven customizations, page/report development, and performance tuning.<br/><br/>- Integration Expertise : OData/REST APIs, web services, Azure Functions/Logic Apps (or equivalent), and connector-based integrations with external systems.<br/><br/>- Data Migration : Configuration packages, scripts/ETL approaches, and reconciliation/validation techniques.<br/><br/>- Design & Architecture : Strong understanding of modular design, SOLID principles, and best practices for BC customizations and upgradeability.<br/><br/>- Troubleshooting : Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across environments (DEV/TEST/PROD).<br/><br/>- Ways of Working : Agile/Scrum experience; proficiency with work management tools (e., Azure DevOps/Jira) and code repositories (Git).<br/><br/>- Leadership : Team leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making in fast-paced delivery environments.<br/><br/>- Documentation & Communication : Clear technical documentation and effective communication with business and technical audiences.<br/><br/><b>Good-to-Have :</b><br/><br/>- Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps) and Dataverse integrations.<br/><br/>- Experience with BC upgrades (on-prem to SaaS, cumulative updates, breaking changes).<br/><br/>- Knowledge of performance profiling, telemetry, and monitoring (e., Application Insights).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with testing frameworks, automated tests, and quality gates.<br/><br/>- Understanding of security and compliance standards relevant to finance/operations.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
