<p><p><b>Who You Are :</b><br/><br/> Software Engineer III, Assoc.
Tech Lead play a key role in the design, development/configuration, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of Zinnias software platforms.<br/><br/> Zinnia Software Engineers work with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfill the needs of Zinnia internal stakeholders and clients.<br/><br/> Those solutions and/or products help Zinnia and Zinnia clients to be more efficient and provide better service to end customers.<br/><br/> Software Engineers interact directly with project leaders, business stakeholders, and may periodically interact directly with Zinnia clients.<br/><br/><b>What Youll Do : </b><br/><br/>- Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for Zinnia stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for company platforms.<br/><br/>- Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing company platforms.<br/><br/>- Occasionally participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours support.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers.<br/><br/>- Act as a subject matter expert for junior team members.<br/><br/>- Assist or lead in defining the requirements for custom built software projects.<br/><br/><b>What Youll Need :</b><br/><br/>- 5 to 8 years of software development experience.<br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in technology, or equivalent relevant work experience.<br/><br/>- Knowledge and experience working in the insurance industry.<br/><br/>- Advanced Knowledge of cross-platform C++ development using CMake.<br/><br/>- Strong Mathematical Skills.<br/><br/>- Strong desire to work on back-end systems and services.<br/><br/>- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitHub (GitHub Actions).<br/><br/>- Demonstrated expertise with software engineering tools (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, etc) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc).<br/><br/>- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office.<br/><br/>- Excellent work ethic.<br/><br/>- Ability to work and travel independently.<br/><br/>- Demonstrated strategic thinking skills.<br/><br/>- Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.<br/><br/>- Excellent troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team.<br/><br/>- Awareness of advanced technical concepts (examples: design patterns, SOA, SaaS, SDLC, DDD).<br/><br/><b>Bonus Points :</b><br/><br/>- Additional C-like language experience (C#/Java/TypeScript).<br/><br/>- Financial Industry Background.<br/><br/><b>WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?</b><br/><br/> At Zinnia, you collaborate with smart, creative professionals who are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technologies, deeper data insights, and enhanced services to transform how insurance is done.<br/><br/></p><p>We are an Equal Opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.<br/><br/> We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
