<p><p><b>Who You Are : </b><br/><br/> We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with full-stack experience strong in back-end and API development, while also comfortable contributing to front-end development when needed.<br/><br/> In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems that power Zinnias enterprise platforms.<br/><br/> You thrive as a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, writing high-quality code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/> This role is well-suited for someone with a passion for modern software engineering practices, cloud-native development, and API-driven architectures, with the ability to deliver robust solutions while contributing to team best practices.<br/><br/><b>What Youll Do : </b><br/><br/>- Design & development : Design, develop, document, and maintain scalable, secure, and reusable software components and applications spanning both back-end services/APIs and front-end interfaces.<br/><br/>- Best practices : Contribute to defining and implementing coding standards, design patterns, and testing practices across services and integrations.<br/><br/>- API lifecycle : Build and maintain enterprise APIs following best practices and collaborate with the API management team to implement gateway capabilities (traceability, monitoring, security, analytics).<br/><br/>- Software lifecycle improvements : Support enhancements to the software development and deployment lifecycle for improved speed, quality, and reliability.<br/><br/>- Testing & automation : Implement and automate unit, functional, integration, and contract tests for services, APIs, and applications.<br/><br/>- Code quality : Write high-quality, maintainable, and performant code; participate in peer code reviews.<br/><br/>- Collaboration : Work closely with architects, product managers, and engineers to design solutions that align with enterprise goals.<br/><br/>- IAM & security : Integrate applications and APIs with enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.<br/><br/>- Innovation : Stay current with emerging technologies and bring ideas to improve scalability, performance, and developer experience.<br/><br/><b>What Youll Need :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.<br/><br/>- 6+ years of professional software development experience.<br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience using modern frameworks such as NestJS for back-end development and React, Angular, or Next.js for front-end applications.<br/><br/>- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software systems and versioned APIs.<br/><br/>- Experience developing applications in cloud-native environments, with hands-on expertise in AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, RDS).<br/><br/>- Experience with API gateways (e.g. , Apigee, Kong) and API lifecycle management.<br/><br/>- Experience in event-driven architecture and pub/sub messaging patterns, with exposure to event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g. , MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, monitoring) and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, and design patterns.<br/><br/>- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.<br/><br/>- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team.<br/><br/>- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies in software development.<br/><br/><b>NICE TO HAVE : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with Java and related technologies.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of the Life Insurance & Annuities domain.<br/><br/><b>WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?</b><br/><br/> Were looking for the best and brightest innovators in the industry to join our team.<br/><br/> At Zinnia, you collaborate with smart, creative professionals who are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technologies, deeper data insights, and enhanced services to transform how insurance is done.<br/><br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
